Teclo is a Mac app that plays a sound when you press a key. This page explains what the app and this website do with your information. The short version: the app doesn't collect any.
Who is responsible
Teclo is made and sold by AG ULTIMATE IT SOLUTIONS SRL. For anything about privacy, write to[email protected].
What the app does with your keys
- Teclo reacts to the fact that a key was pressed or released, so it can play the matching sound.
- It never records what you type. It keeps no log of keys, words or text, and it doesn't read the contents of your windows.
- To set the pet's mood, Teclo keeps the timing of your recent key presses and a few counters in memory while it runs. It doesn't keep which keys they were.
- Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Teclo has no account system and no server of its own.
The permission macOS asks for
macOS asks you to allow Teclo under Input Monitoring. An app needs that permission to notice key presses while you work in other apps. Teclo uses it only to play sounds and move the pet. You can withdraw it any time in System Settings, under Privacy & Security.
What stays on your Mac
Your settings are saved on your Mac: the chosen sound pack, the volume, your favourites, the options you switched on, how you dressed the pet, what you named it and where you left it. They are removed when you delete the app's data.
Buying the app
Teclo is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the purchase and the payment under its own privacy policy. We don't receive your name, your email address or your payment details.
This website
- The site sets no cookies and has no analytics or advertising scripts. Fonts and sounds are served from the site itself.
- The typing demo runs entirely in your browser. What you type into it is not stored and not sent.
- If you pick the light or dark theme, or dress up the pet, your browser remembers that in its local storage. It stays in your browser.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the service secure.
